One-to-one ABA sessions at home
This is the heart of what we do. Once services begin, your RBT will come to your home and work one-to-one with your child, following the treatment plan written and overseen by our own BCBA. Sessions use the toys, routines, and spaces your child already knows, so practice happens where life actually happens.
Early learners
For toddlers and young children, sessions look a lot like play — because that's how little ones learn. Your RBT follows the treatment plan using games, songs, and everyday moments like snack time and getting dressed. You stay close by, and you see what we're working on.

Families in the loop
You know your child better than anyone, and you're with them far more hours than we are. Caregiver training will be provided by our own BCBA, who will teach you the strategies behind the plan. Between those sessions, your RBT will keep you in the loop, so what works in a session can carry into the rest of the week.
Teens and adults
Support doesn't stop at eighteen. For teens and adults, sessions focus on the practical skills that grow independence — daily living, community outings, self-advocacy. Those goals come from the treatment plan, and your RBT works on them at home and out in the community, where those skills are actually used.

Support at school
Some goals only show up at school: following a direction meant for the whole group, moving between activities, asking for help, getting through a loud cafeteria. When the treatment plan calls for it and the school agrees, your RBT works with your child on campus, then brings the same plan home so both settings match.
Questions families ask
How do insurance and billing work?
Once services begin, Acorns to Oaks will verify your insurance and handle billing directly. Which insurance plans we are able to accept is still being set up, and we will tell you plainly where that stands on your first call. We will review costs and payment options with you in writing before services begin.
Who is my child's BCBA?
Your child's Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be a member of our own clinical team; services begin once that team is in place. You'll meet your BCBA at the assessment, and they will stay involved from there — overseeing the plan, supervising your RBT, and providing caregiver training.
Where do sessions happen?
In your home, at your child's school when the plan calls for it and the school agrees, and out in your community — in Deltona, DeLand, Orange City, Lake Helen, and DeBary, on the west side of Volusia County. A caregiver stays present during in-home sessions. If you're not sure whether you're in our area, just ask.
