ABA on the west side of Volusia County
Acorns to Oaks is based in DeLand and will come to families in five West Volusia towns: Deltona, DeLand, Orange City, Lake Helen, and DeBary. That is the whole service area, on purpose. Once our clinical team is in place and services begin, your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will deliver every session in your home, at your child's school when the plan calls for it, and in the places your family already goes, following a treatment plan written and overseen by our own Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Keeping the map small is how your RBT stays consistent for your family, week after week.
Deltona
Deltona is the largest city in West Volusia, and most of it is neighborhoods. Sessions there tend to happen in the living room, the back yard, and on the errands your family already runs, so the skills your child is working on show up where they are needed. Sessions with teens and adults in Deltona will focus on daily-living and community skills, from a grocery run to getting around town.
DeLand
DeLand is home for us; it is where Acorns to Oaks is based. It is also the county seat and a college town, with a walkable downtown and a lot of quiet streets. For families here, sessions often move between home and the community: a park, a library visit, a short walk downtown, or a grandparent's house across town.
Orange City
Orange City sits between DeLand and Deltona, which makes it an easy part of our week. Sessions happen at home and in everyday places, the playground and the store included. Families in Orange City sometimes ask whether we come to their part of town. The answer is yes; the whole city is in our area.
Lake Helen
Lake Helen is small, and we like that. It is a short drive from DeLand, and we treat it as part of home. Sessions follow the same plan and the same routine as anywhere else: one RBT, one family, in your home and around town.
DeBary
DeBary is the southern end of our area, along the St. Johns River. We will come to homes across DeBary and to the places your family goes, the parks along the river and the trail included. We do not go past the five towns above. If you are near the edge of the map, ask; we will tell you plainly whether you are in our area.
What stays the same in every town
The same RBT at your door, and on campus when the plan calls for it. The same treatment plan from our own BCBA. The same quick, plain-English check-in after each visit. A caregiver stays present during in-home sessions. Billing will be handled directly by Acorns to Oaks, and we will review costs and payment options with you in writing before services begin.
